18 Hours to Go!

…and sitting in a law class in Washington, DC, as I write this. It's unbelievable that in just over a day I will be in the Land of Fussball, surrounded by so much that I'm not even going to want to close my eyes at any point during the 10 days I'll spend in Germany. Predictions for Friday's games, anyone? Germany-Costa Rica? Poland-Ecuador?

I'll be watching the opener at Dulles Airport. Germany, by a score of 2-0, is my hopeful and not altogether unrealistic prediction. Poland will probably beat Ecuador. A work colleague of mine thinks Costa Rica will beat Germany by several thousand goals. Well, Nora, good luck with that.

  1. I agree w/ ecuador. I hope they have cleat scars in their back b/c those are the only marks they will receive in 2006. If not for the high altitude Colombia would represent.
